These on going projects are attempts to recreate the process of an experience becoming a memory. Memories are not records. Remembering is inherently a reconstructive process. It is partial, plastic, and in that way fragile, malleable, and made up. The act of reviewing creates fragments that minutely distort and simultaneously support the memory. I want to highlight this modification of memory by rehearsal. And, consider how we shape what we hold on to after the event.
